A Little Bit About Me
Hi! I’m Michelle — a retired homeschool mom, wife to my high school sweetheart of over 30 years, and a lover of hiking, running, reading, cooking, and good coffee.
I know what it’s like to feel stuck in your own body. For most of my adult life, I tried different diets and could never keep the weight off. I’d lose some, then gain it back plus more, and felt hopeless that I’d ever experience lasting change.
In 2014, I decided to take a different approach. I slowly began removing sugar and unhealthy flours from my daily food choices — and that one shift changed everything. My energy improved, the weight came off, and for the first time, I felt like I had found a way of eating I could sustain for life. I eventually lost 50 pounds and maintained that loss for years.
Life, of course, brought its own challenges — caring for aging parents, managing stress, and navigating pre-menopause. Like many women in their 40s and 50s, I learned how much hormones and insulin resistance impact weight and health. I had to fine-tune my habits even more to support my body. By focusing on eating in a way that keeps insulin steady and supports metabolic health, I was able to lose the weight I had re-gained and return to feeling strong, energized, and well.
Now, my desire is simple:
to encourage women in their wellness journey with practical recipes, nutrition insights, and simple movement tips that support a healthy, vibrant life.
I’m not here to sell perfection — just to share what I’ve learned, offer hope, and help you choose wellness one small step at a time.
